Compassionate Self - a retreat led by the Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity Group

This retreat is suitable for those new to meditation and Buddhism as practised within the Triratna Buddhist Community.

Led by the Gender Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) Team from Brighton Buddhist Centre, this retreat is for people who identify as gender diverse, trans, intersex, non-binary, genderqueer, gender fluid, gender non-conforming, questioning etc. and who are interested in Buddhism and Meditation as practised within the Triratna Buddhist Community.

This weekend is for both those with an established meditation practise and those new to meditation - all are welcome!

Buddhism allows an individual, queer or otherwise, to blossom into the fullness of their ‘Compassionate Self’ and engage deeply, empathetically and lovingly with their own condition and that of others around them.

On this retreat we will be bringing our lived experience of the GSRD identifying community into our connection and interest in exploring the Dharma, through meditation, talks and conversation, in the safe and beautiful environment of Rivendell.
