Yoga & Meditation Weekend (with Vidyadasa & Lokadhi) - NOW ONLINE

This retreat is suitable for those new to meditation and Buddhism as practised within the Triratna Buddhist Community.

This a now an online retreat which costs £60 to book, plus a recommended donation of £30-50 (this can be paid at the booking checkout).

Please note:

1. That the automated booking confirmation that you will receive will contain information that relates to a residential retreat, so please ignore that. It would cost money that we don't currently have to change our systems to reflect the circumstances of these special online events.

2. You will receive a joining email from us close to the start of each event (ideally the day before), with a Zoom link that will work for the whole of that particular retreat online event.

3. Zoom is a simple online communications platform that is very easy to use. If you have not used it before, we suggest that you download this programme and install for free before your retreat is due to take place. Retreat information

An online opportunity to practice yoga and meditation informed by Buddhist practice.

Join these two experienced teachers as they weave themes of self-care, kindness and compassion into these mutually beneficial practices for body and mind. Stretch, and ease out stresses, and create mindful embodied ways of being.

Learn and practice skilful sensitive deep inner listening to yourself to inform how you live in these challenging times.

Enjoy being with other people in a temporary online community in a simple schedule including yoga, meditation, simple accessible rituals and reflection.

Both teachers are experienced in leading online practice and have been using the Zoom platform for years (which can be surprisingly effective), so they are well equipped to guide you deeply into practice in a supportive way.

Make times and space for yourself on your yoga mat and meditation cushion at home, so you can be more spacious and free in your daily life.

Friday evening:

6.15-8.30 pm checking in and opening ritual/meditation


8.00-8.45 am meditation

15 min break

9.00-11.00 am yoga

Free time between 11.00 am and 3.00 pm: suggested mindful walking/reflection time

3.00-4.30 pm yoga

4.40-5.20 pm    groups/feedback from groups

7.00-8.30 pm    evening activity/meditation/ritual

Please note that this schedule may be subject to change.

Change to cancellation policy

If you wish to cancel, we now require a minimum notice of 4 calendar weeks before a retreat is due to take place, in order that a refund will be possible. It will still be on the basis that we can the fill your space.

However, if Rivendell has to cancel your retreat due to increased Covid restrictions, then you will be given the option of a refund, to transfer your money to another retreat, or to perhaps offer a donation.
